VOD/PPV: Improve Process, Increase Revenue

There is no argument that VOD has been a competitive boon for the cable industry.
It has certainly provided MSOs with an advantage over satellite and has been linked to reduced churn rates.  But from a revenue perspective, has it exceeded expectations?

The maintenance and delivery of PPV and VOD requires the seamless interaction between several disparate systems and the cooperation of multiple departments to deliver great results.  With so many moving parts is it possible that buys are being lost?  Are customers struggling through such an abundance of content that they lose interest before making the purchase?  How many calls to the call centers are generated from VOD order error messages?

Fine tuning individual workflows can dramatically improve the stability and performance of PPV and VOD. Proactive, predictive and preemptive box and plant maintenance can improve completion rates.  Tweaking the interconnection of the multiple systems involved in VOD ensures that customers are billed correctly and accurate revenue numbers are provided.

In a recent project for a US Broadband Operator, BATMANN Consulting helped the MSO increase revenue, reduce employee workloads and improve order completion rates by making just a few small changes to the VOD and PPV workflows.  Click here to see a detailed case study.
