But I'll DIE Without My Phone!
How Teens Feel About Their Phones Features
When asked how they feel about certain features of their cell phones, many teens say their social lives would seriously suffer if they couldn’t stay in touch with friends.  According to research from Harris Interactive, nearly eight in 10 teens say they would “die” if they couldn’t call their friends while 67 percent say their lives would end without text messaging.  The Harris study also shows that teens use their phones for taking and sharing photos and calling for help in times of crisis.  But marketers should keep in mind that young users see their mobile devices as a critical tool for socialization and as status symbols.  (From The BRIDGE issues on Tweens, Teens & Twenties.  To view the issue, click here.)•
